BEER

We recently got a new head brewer and we are very proud of the beer he is creating here at The Toad. The beers highlighted below are his work. We’ve named the beers, and written the descriptions to be synonymous with the experience we want for our customers when they come to see us.

IPA Lightly

IPA Lightly

ABV 4.7%

IPA court is now in session and the verdict appears to be decisively delicious. This session IPA is light, crisp, and incredibly tasty. Made with Centennial and Simcoe hops, this low ABV beer is perfect for porch drinking but is just as refreshing enjoyed inside. Don’t tell anyone you heard it from us, but even the judge was drinking one in his chambers!

Spotted Flamingo

Spotted Flamingo

ABV 6.3%

We’ve all wondered what would happen if an IPA was brewed with pink guava, vanilla beans, and lactose. Equally intriguing is the appearance of a tall wading bird with long legs and a long neck that has spotted plumage. We can all rest a little easier and sleep a little better at night now that Spotted Flamingo Milkshake IPA has made a nest at the brewery and answers those haunting inquiries once and for all.

Smashsquatch IPA

Smashsquatch IPA

ABV 6.1%

A smash is a Single Malt and Single Hop beer. A smash is also a very successful song, film, show, or performer according to the dictionary. In the case of our Smashsquatch, it’s a single malt, single hop, very successful IPA, and elusive beer-drinking manimal. Fortunately, you don’t have to have big feet or body fur to drink it. Just order one.

Lighter Shade of Stout

Lighter Shade of Stout

ABV 5.8%

If you’ve never had a golden stout, you’re past due. Even if you don’t drink stouts, you gotta try this beer. The experience starts with coffee and ends with chocolate with plenty of easy-drinking deliciousness in the middle. You don’t need to think of it as a stout, just a tasty Lighter Shade of Stout.

Gose Of The Gods

Gose Of The Gods

ABV 7%

Isn’t it time for a Gose that steps outside the box a bit? Our “Gose of the Gods” is just what you’re looking for. With just a touch of strawberry and a hefty 7% ABV, we jokingly refer to this one as an imperial sour, but this beer is no joke. It’s a perfect tart sipper to end one of those long summer days of fighting site seeing traffic.

Kolschpiracy

Kolschpiracy

ABV 5%

Like its name, this Kolsch is a little misunderstood. Although it’s a lighter style of beer, Kolschpiracy delivers more body and more flavor than a lighter beer should. But at only 5% ABV, it acts like a lighter beer. It’s a delicious beer that you need to try even if you’re not a Kolsch fan. The only question is how will you order it. “I’ll try the Kol-schpiracy”, or “I’ll try the Kolsch Piracy”.

Wagner Porter

Wagner Porter

ABV 6.2%

We would be remiss if we didn’t include something obviously punny in the description of our “Wagner Porter”. But seriously, this beer is something to sing about! Just between you and me, it doesn’t drink like a porter. It’s smooth and slightly sweet and all the flavors seem to work in perfect harmony. This is a beer you’ll keep coming back for because you’ll want to enjoy as much of this as you can stand.

Wong the Potter

Wong the Potter

ABV 5.4%

So you don’t know what a Patersbier is huh? Well, it’s a light Belgian Trappist ale! Still doesn’t ring a bell? Well, you’ll have to give it a try and see if you like it. Only then will you be able to explain it to your beer-drinking friends and impress them with your knowledge of beers they’ve never heard of either.

Red Crack

Red Crack

ABV 4.5%

Somebody was smoking somethin’ when they named this one. Fortunately, the big win for this Irish Red is the taste, not the name. You’ll love this easy-drinking red even if reds aren’t your go-to beer. Think of this one as the elementary school student that gets teased because of his name, but everyone loves him just the same!

Baby Steps

Baby Steps

ABV 5.6%

So you might think this is a beer for beginners based on the name, but that would be a juvenile conclusion. “Baby Steps” appeals to the novice and experienced beer drinker, and it’s the first beer our head brewer ever created at the Toad. We had to give it a name that would commemorate, memorialize, and immortalize this historic addition to our brewery.

NOT BEER

Hey, we get it, beer is not for everybody. Just kidding, we don’t get that at all but we understand that you may not be in the mood for beer, or just want a different option. Perhaps a beer did you wrong at some point and you now have a bitter taste in your mouth for beer. Whatever the reason, your business really isn’t our business, but our business is to make your experience here enjoyable, memorable, and free of probing questions as to why you’re not ordering a beer. With that said, our “Not Beer” options are available without explanation or judgement 🙂

Tropicaliente

Tropicaliente

ABV 3.5%

This Mango Habanero Hard Seltzer really turns up the heat in a good way. Plenty of flavor with just enough burn to be noticeable. This is a super refreshing option and made right here at the brewery.

Tadpole Seltzer Water

Tadpole Seltzer Water

ABV None

You will really love this alcohol-free option if that’s what you’re looking for. We desperately want to make a joke about it being made with real tadpoles but our incredibly dull and humorless marketing team said no. We may call our next one “Buzz Kill Seltzer” in their honor.

Soda

Soda

ABV None

Pop, soda, coke, soda pop… it doesn’t really matter what you call it, we have a variety of sweet, bubbly, and even fizzy beverages available. Just ask what we have on tap and we’ll let you know that we only have cans. It’s fun for us.
