BEER
We recently got a new head brewer and we are very proud of the beer he is creating here at The Toad. The beers highlighted below are his work. We’ve named the beers, and written the descriptions to be synonymous with the experience we want for our customers when they come to see us.

IPa Freely
ABV 7.2%
The Freely is one of our most popular IPA’s and one of our signature beers. Inspired by famous characters like Seymore Butts, Willy Makeit, Al Coholic, and Eileen Dover, this IPA is as fun to drink as it is to say. There’s a reason it’s one of our most popular beers.

Smashsquatch IPA
ABV 6.1%
A smash is a Single Malt and Single Hop beer. A smash is also a very successful song, film, show, or performer according to the dictionary. In the case of our Smashsquatch, it’s a single malt, single hop, very successful IPA, and elusive beer-drinking manimal. Fortunately, you don’t have to have big feet or body fur to drink it. Just order one. You’ll love the New Zealand Southern Cross hop it’s made with. This hop is famous for lemon zest and warm pine needle flavors.

Phantom Coconut
ABV 5.9
This Pina Colada Milkshake IPA is a super tasty hazy that is an explosion of flavor. Made with Eukanot and Galena hops, lime and pineapple puree, we let it sit on a bed of toasted coconut to add to the wonderful tropical flavors.
Brewed using lactose sugar!

Beer-ica
ABV 5.2%

Arnold's Epiphany
ABV 6.5%
Many people think that a Hoppy French Saison is a frog that comes from the Western part of Europe. And while that may or may not be true, here at the Smiling Toad, it’s a delicious new beer that uses Fuggle and Galena hops to compliment the spicy and citrusy flavors of the yeast used in the beer. In fact, the strain of yeast is what makes it a French Saison and we brewed it to serve at the Saint Arnold’s beer fest this year. Lucky for you we brewed enough to serve at the brewery too, so put your tailless amphibian hunting gear away and give this new beer a try!

Flower Power
ABV 4.8%
Zesty? Yup! Refreshing? Heck yes! Lemony? Moreso than you can shake a stick at! This new version of the familiar favorite “Daughter of Lavender” has an extra kick of lemony zest, giving it the appearance of more hops than are actually there, while still maintaining that lavender finish that everybody loves.

Funk-Aholics Anonymous
ABV 6%
Funk-Aholics is our wild fermentation barrel-aged sour. The wild yeast was harvested locally from alongside the Midland Trail. A mixture of Brettanomyces (a funky, spicy, barnyard flavor) and Lactobacillus (the wonderful slightly sweet even more sour flavor). A “Living Barrel”, every time some of the beer is pulled off for the taproom that volume is replaced with beer from a different batch so the flavors of the barrel will constantly be evolving.
NOT BEER
Hey, we get it, beer is not for everybody. Just kidding, we don’t get that at all but we understand that you may not be in the mood for beer, or just want a different option. Perhaps a beer did you wrong at some point and you now have a bitter taste in your mouth for beer. Whatever the reason, your business really isn’t our business, but our business is to make your experience here enjoyable, memorable, and free of probing questions as to why you’re not ordering a beer. With that said, our “Not Beer” options are available without explanation or judgement 🙂

All Doled Up
3.2%
Made with 100% Organic Cane Sugar, “All Doled Up” is a refreshing option with a slight sweetness and wonderful tropical flavor and criminally clean finish. Sitting at 3.2% abv this seltzer is light and sessionable.

Soda
ABV None
Pop, soda, coke, soda pop… it doesn’t really matter what you call it, we have a variety of sweet, bubbly, and even fizzy beverages available. Just ask what we have on tap and we’ll let you know that we only have cans. It’s fun for us.

Tadpole Seltzer Water
ABV None
You will really love this alcohol-free option if that’s what you’re looking for. We desperately want to make a joke about it being made with real tadpoles but our incredibly dull and humorless marketing team said no. We may call our next one “Buzz Kill Seltzer” in their honor.
